After hitting our screens last month, we quickly became obsessed with Netflix’s new reality TV show Too Hot To Handle.

Featuring a bunch of singletons coming together in hopes of finding love (and nabbing some fame), the show came with one big twist – no sexual contact of any kind was allowed unless they were given the green light to do so. Hoping to build on “deeper connections”, the show made for some addictive viewing and if you haven’t watched it yet, schedule in some time to binge it this weekend.

And it turns out that some of the stars in the show were also hot property as not one, but two of the contestants turned down opportunities with Love Island to appear on the show.

Earlier this month we found out that Cork contestant, Nicole O’Brian turned down the show in 2016 to continue her studies in UCC and now it looks like Essex contestant Chloe Veitch also closed the door on the opportunity with ITV.

In an interview with Evening Standard, Chloe explained her reasons behind choosing THTH over Love Island.

“When I was getting cast for Too Hot to Handle, I actually got a phone call requesting to get a meeting to go on Love Island in London.

“But I turned it down because I thought… I know what I’m walking in to with Love Island. This new show is completely different. What if this new show is something that is more suitable and beneficial for me?”

Continuing, she added that she’s now very happy with her decision despite not landing lucky in love on the show.

“I picked the right card.

“Going on the show and experiencing such a life-changing experience coming out the show, I feel I respect myself more, and I love myself more.”

Well, there you have it!
