Two Exciting Things We Already Know About Emily In Paris Season 2
The hit Nextflix series confirmed its return earlier this week.
Oui, Oui, Emily.
Fans of Emily In Paris will be thrilled to know that the series has been renewed for a season round. Sharing the exciting news on Instagram, Lily Collins rejoiced that to Sylvie’s dismay, the show and all the cast were coming back for another season.
Deux is better than un. I’m freaking out and beyond thrilled (much to Sylvie’s dismay) to announce #EmilyinParis will be returning to @netflix for Season 2! Thank you guys for the love and support and I hope you’re as excited as we are!!… pic.twitter.com/T71F0JKmjh

After receiving varying feedback on the first season for many reasons, including the “accidental” age mess-up with Lily’s character, to the French not being happy with the Parisian portrayal (we’re feeling that now with Wild Mountain Thyme), the show didn’t tickle everyone’s fancy, but it certainly did win over the hearts of many, trending in Ireland as a top watch for weeks consecutively.
Now, the cheesy, romantic series is back and we know two pretty interesting things about season two.
Don’t read on if you’re not finished season one.
Firstly, Emily is going to be staying in Paris. Oui, oui, this is now her home, and in this season, it’s believed Emily will be less lost puppy, more popular local, think Carrie Bradshaw NYC vibes.
“In season 2, she’s going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she’s living in. She’ll be more of a resident of the city. She’ll have her feet on the ground a little more. She’s making a life there,” creator Darren Star told Oprah Magazine.
So, between her job and her social life, Emily is getting settled in Paris, but what about her love life?
Well, as we all know, season one ended on a serious cliffhanger, opening up the doors (and a can of worms for season two).
While talking about the love mess-up between, Emily, Gabriel and Cami, Darren gave a slight input on that too.

“What happens in the next chapter, I think, can be a real exploration of how does the relationship between these three characters evolve.
“That, to me, is such a fun thing to explore in Season 2, because these are not Americans. They’re French people. To me, a big part of the show is looking at everything through a different lens. Season 2 will open up some interesting and surprising relationship avenues.”
Well, take that how you will. All we can say is – roll on S2!
