Yep, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Is Getting a Season 2

Here's what we know so far

Will MomTok survive another season?

New hit reality TV show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has taken the internet by storm – and yes, we are getting a second season.

Premiering in September, the show became Hulu’s most watched unscripted premiere this year, even beating The Kardashians with its cult following.

The show follows eight Mormon influencers and their lives in the Mormon community in Utah. With swinging scandals, arrests and fights, this reality show has all the drama to keep you entertained as well as shocking you to your core.

After being left on a cliffhanger at the end of the first season, we are dying to know what happened next. Here is everything we know about the upcoming season two.

It has been officially announced that the show has been renewed for a further 20 episodes. If following suit from the first season, this could mean not only season 2 but also season 3.

Production for season 2 is rumoured to be starting this week, and it’s expected to air in spring 2025.

There has been no official cast announcement yet, however Jennifer Affleck has not been present in posts by fellow cast members or posting to promote the second season. It has been speculated that due to the backlash her husband received that he no longer wants the couple to be part of the show.

Whitney Leavitt has also not been seen with fellow cast members, but she announced her return to the show with a TikTok of her getting added back into the MomTok group chat that she dramatically left in season 1. In the chat she texts, “Excited to film season 2 with all of you.”

There are theories circulating that there may even be some new cast members this season. It is rumoured that many members of the original MomTok group on TikTok were initially approached for the show’s first season. They allegedly declined, not wanting to film alongside Taylor Frankie Paul, who broke the ‘soft swinging’ scandal.

But perhaps the success of the show has changed their minds? Miranda McWhorter and Camille Munday used to regularly film and post content with Taylor and are OG members of #MomTok.

In a podcast interview with Vanity Fair, executive producer Jeff Jenkins says that the show has “only scratched the surface” of #MomTok and the world that these Mormon influencers live in. Hyping up the upcoming season he said that there’s some “jaw-dropping stuff” they never even got to cover in season 1 that he hopes to cover in the upcoming seasons.

With the way things were left off last season we’re left wondering; will all our burning questions be answered? Will Taylor and Dakota Mortensen’s relationship survive him cheating again? Will Whitney kiss and makeup with everyone? Where can we get dirty sodas this side of the Atlantic?

We cannot wait to see where season 2 takes us. Can it be spring 2025 already?
