If you’re around Dublin city centre tomorrow and are feeling peckish, we suggest hightailing it down to Dawson St. Well, unless you’re a veggie, that is.

Dublin steakhouse Featherblade will be doling out free burgers between 12 and 3pm tomorrow, in celebration of the newest addition to their meat menu, a burger they’ve dubbed The Smokey.

Featherblade has barely been open a year as yet, but judging by the photo above, they know their meat… and their burgers.

Made using beechwood smoked brisket, aged striploin, chuck and suet, The Smokey sounds like all kinds of delicious. It comes served with “caramelised onions and a dollop of house bernaise” all served in a brioche bap. Excuse us a moment while we drool all over the keyboard…

The folks at Featherblade say they’ve been working on their newest creation for eight months, and that they plan to serve up the freebies tomorrow until they run out.

So ditch that boring soup n’ sambo and get yourself over to Dawson St – but be prepared to have to battle half of Dublin for your burger fix.
