The First Pictures Of Emma Stone As A Young Cruella De Vil Are Just As Amazing As You Might Think
Ever since the news was announced that Emma Stone would be taking on the role of the iconic Cruella De Vil we have been DYING for the first look!
The 30-year-old Oscar winner is set to take on the character in a live action movie, Cruella, based on Disney classic 101 Dalmatians, and we can’t think of anyone better for the role!
The villainous role was reviosuly played by fellow Oscar winner Glenn Close in a remake of 101 Dalmatian’s, Emma has put her own very unique slant on a ‘Punk Rock’ Cruella.
The first picture was shared this weekend at Disney’s D23 Expo in California, and the La La Land actress gave fans an insight into what we can expect.
“Since you’re such huge Disney fans, we wanted to let you know a bit about the story,” Stone told the D23 crowd, according to IGN. “1970s set in London, it’s punk rock.”
In an age of all things remakes, we’re loving the unique take on a childhood favourite, played by one of our fave Hollywood Gals. Perfect!
Directed by Craig Gilespie, and also starring Emma Thompson, Cruella is set for release in May 2021 – and we can’t bloody wait!
