The Hailey Bieber Approved Makeup Hack That’s Taking Over TikTok

Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner are queens of the natural glow makeup look, always looking effortlessly stunning rocking a flawless base that almost looks like they have no makeup on at all.

The woman behind their glam is makeup artist Mary Phillips, who we would adore in our glam rooms (aka bedroom) every time we head out. With clients including some of the most famous supermodels of the moment, her tips are like gold dust.

One of her application tips has gone viral recently and if you’ve not seen it already, get ready to be mind blown!

This tip kind of turns what we usually would do when applying our products on it’s head, as contour and concealer go on BEFORE the foundation in this instance.

With plenty of TikTok users doing their own version of this trend, Mary made her own video showing everyone her routine for a perfect base and here is the step by step.

Step one: Contour your usual areas with a cream/ stick contour (some options include, below cheekbones, forehead, jawline, nose).

Step two: Highlight your highpoints using a cream highlighter.

Step three: Conceal your under eyes and areas you’d like extra coverage.

Step four: Apply foundation with a FLUFFY brush all over.

Step five: Apply cream blush

And voila!

This is definitely a more natural look, perfect for daytime or a glowy nighttime look.

Hailey Bieber took to TikTok to confirm that she uses this technique even when doing her own makeup, posting a video with the caption, “Mary P contour trick forever. Also – my best friend sings this song.” The video was accompanied by the song Collide by Justine Skye, bff of Kendall and Hailey.
