Dolly Parton is unarguably a legend. At 75, she is still working hard and creating music for her legion of loyal fans. And, now, it seems she’s being recognised for all her work.

Dolly just broke not one, not two, but three Guinness World records.

She earned the award for most decades on the US Hot Country Songs chart by a female with an impressive seven decades. Along with Most Number One hits on the US Hot Country Songs chart by a female with 25 in total. And she surpassed her existing record for most hits on the US Hot Country Songs chart by a female artist with an amazing 109 hits.

Iconic!

Dolly was presented with her well-deserved awards in her home state and centre of American country music, Nashville, Tennessee.

Of course, our Dolly was a humble Queen about the awards. In an interview with Guinness, she said, “This is the kind of stuff that really makes you very humble and very grateful for everything that’s happened. I had no idea that I would be in Guinness World Records this many times! I am flattered and honoured.”

“I’ve had a lot of people help me get here. Thanks to all of you and all of them for helping me have all of this.”

Taking the time to thank everyone, this is why we love Dolly!

And we’re not going to stop loving her as she revealed she plans on making music for as long as she can. Saying, “I’ve loved being able to make a living in the business that I love so much. I’ve been so fortunate to see my dreams come true, and I just hope to continue for as long as I can. You’re going to have to knock me down to stop me!”

Dolly took the music industry by storm in 1967, and hasn’t stopped since. She has far too many hits to count, but some of her most popular include the iconic 9 to 5, Jolene, Islands in the Stream with fellow legend Kenny Rogers, I Will Always Love You, and Coat of Many Colours.

And she’s still treating us with her recent songs like Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas featuring Michael Bublé.

So in honour of Dolly receiving her awards, we can officially blast her music at full volume all day. Someone play Romeo quick!
