Singer Lily Allen and Stranger Things actor David Harbour have tied the knot, in a ceremony that deserves an 11/10. There was an Elvis impersonator, a fast-food reception, and most importantly, true love, and the internet is rightfully freaking out (in a great way).

Opting out of a traditional ceremony, Lily and David whisked themselves off to Las Vegas, taking entire control of their wedding, denying tabloid press the chance to tell their narrative.

If you’ve read Lily’s memoir or listened to any of her music, you’d know that she isn’t a gal who takes things lying down, so her quirky but beautifully romantic wedding comes as no surprise to fans.

Sharing the news by posting a series of pictures on her Instagram account, Lily simply captioned each picture with three red hearts. Giving us just the teeniest glimpse into their (small) big day. We can see that Lily and David tied the knot in the infamous Graceland Wedding Chapel, and later had their ‘reception’ in American fast-food chain In-N-Out.

While the actual wedding itself was the talk of social media town yesterday, many focused their attention on Lily’s dress – because why the hell wouldn’t you, have you seen it it’s perfect?! Wearing a vintage Dior mini dress, Lily matched the £4,000 dress with a pair of black Miu Miu shoes, a bouffant hairstyle with an understated veil attached, and a colourful bouquet of roses.

Lily also later showed off both her wedding ring and wedding nails, which were both equally as blingy and beautiful as each other.

The low-key affair caught the attention of the entire internet. In a time filled with such uncertainty, COVID-19 has thrown a spanner in the works of many a wedding day, but Lily and David’s elopement shows that sometimes just ‘going for it’ is just as romantic as a lavish and orchestrated event, all you need is love – and an Elvis impersonator!

Lily and David have mostly kept their relationship under wraps, they’re believed to have begun dating a year ago, and have since only shared a small selection of photos on social media and attending the odd event together. In April, Lily shared a picture of a huge rock on her ring finger, causing the internet to go alight with engagement news.

The couple never publicly announced their engagement, but given that they’re now husband and wife, we’re assuming that there was indeed a proposal thrown in there somewhere.

Congrats Lily and David!
