There’s A Chance Love Island Could Be Filmed In The UK This Year

Iain Stirling has spilled the tea

Iain Stirling has thrown a spanner in the works when it comes to what we can expect from Love Island this year.

The narrator has said that while the show was cancelled last summer and again this winter, he is very hopeful that it will return for the summer, however we best prepare ourselves for it to look a little different from what we’re used to.

Speaking with Metro.co.uk he hinted at the show’s uncertainty:

“Hey, let’s see what happens…” he began.

“Like I said, I’ve no idea, but it could be quite amusing seeing Love Island contestants embracing the beaches of Bognor Regis at some point”

“When they can’t eat their dinner because seagulls are taking it off the plate… it could mix it up.”

It wouldn’t be the first time that a show we all know and love had a change of location amid the pandemic. I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here saw a stark change of scenery this year, as it swapped the Australian jungle for the Welsh countryside. Despite its differences, the series was still enjoyed by millions, with Iain being one of those 11 million.

“I genuinely thought I’m A Celeb was so brilliant this year, it’s an option,” he continued on.

“I’m A Celeb did such a good job, man. It was so funny and such a good season.”

So, we may just see the Love Island contestants swap their swimsuits for rain gear this summer as they head to the English countryside, may we suggest they consider one of the Aran Islands? You know, for it’s namesake.
