This Black Panther Fan Broke Her Retainer After Seeing Michael B Jordan With His Top Off

Michael B Jordan’s naked upper body in Black Panther caused an 18-year-old to clench her teeth so hard that she broke her retainer. This is not a joke.

Just when I was starting to believe that I was the only one still using the website, this hilarious story all started on Tumblr:

“One of my patients came in for an emergency visit, because she snapped the wire on her retainer watching the movie when MBJ took his shirt off she clenched her teeth so f*cking hard she snapped it. That is the f*cking funniest sh*t ever to me this tiny 17 year old girl thirsting so goddamn hard she busted steel,” reads the post from Tumblr user nitramaraho.

Once the post started doing the internet rounds, 18-year-old Californian Sophia Robb came forward to admit she was the thirsty gal who lusted a bit too hard over Jordan’s bod.

In an interview with Buzzfeed, Sophia described how the retainer breaking incident occurred:

Killmonger took his shirt off for the battle to become king of Wakanda. I pressed my tongue against my permanent retainer and clenched my jaw so hard that the wire disconnected from my teeth.

She said the trip to the orthodontist was horrifying because she was initially scared that she would embarrass herself.

However, when she got there, she said it was all okay: “When I told them they laughed, obviously, but it was super sweet and of course it made a great story.”

While speaking with Teen Vogue, Sophia said she “would scream” if the actor ever replied to her.

The idea of him even seeing the post is so insane to me. I really do not know how I would respond. If anything, I would want to tell him and the rest of the cast thank you for their impact — not only are they all incredible actors, but this movie is so important in terms of representation that I think that’s all I could say.

Well, it’s Sophia’s lucky day as the actor has not only followed the teenager, but he’s also offered to pay to replace her retainer.
