Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards has opened up about her relationship with her Liverpool footballer boyf Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, admitting that they’re in absolutely no rush to put a ring on it.

Perrie was famously engaged to One Direction’s Zayn Malik back in 2013, but they parted ways two years later in 2015, calling off their 2-year engagement.

Cautious not to make the same mistake by rushing into anything again, Perrie told Metro’s Guilty Pleasures that weddings bells won’t be chiming too soon.

“We always talk about the future,” she said.

“He’s my forever, but I don’t think we are ready to get engaged any time soon.”

Admitting that their careers can sometimes get in the way of having a normal life, Perrie said that the constant strain they’re both put under can be tiring, with the uncertainty putting them off settling down just yet.

“In our careers, you don’t get the option to say, “I’m going to take two months off, or go on holiday,”

“You just don’t have that in this lifestyle and it has made us realise we do work non-stop.”

Perrie and Alex began dating in 2016, making things social media official when she posted a picture of her then-new boyfriend holding her dog.

The two moved in together last year, and have been enjoying spending lockdown together since March. Speaking with our little sis KISS earlier this year Perrie said that the two have become fur-parents again, along with Perrie’s cousin.

“While in isolation I’ve been playing with my new puppy, and training him!”

“I was planning on getting a dog for a while but it was never the right time, and then I finally caved when things were quiet and we were making the album and we didn’t have a tour for a while, and then we ended up getting the puppy and quarantine happened! It was perfect timing”
