Tom Holland Just Gave The Sweetest Reason For Needing Zendaya’s Support

As if we needed yet another reason to love these two.


Tom Holland might be a spider-like superhero in our minds, but he is actually only human, like the rest of us. And as such, he is privy to a whole host of human emotions, including nervousness. But unlike the rest of us, he can phone up the literal icon that is ZENDAYA whenever he starts to feel jittery.

Tom revealed to Variety that he was extremely nervous meeting and working with his heroes and fellow Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Saying, “The date of ‘the other Spider-Mans are coming’ was etched on my calendar and was getting closer and closer and closer. The closer it got, the more and more nervous I was.”

“It was daunting—it was very daunting.”

Luckily he knew exactly how to calm his nerves and invited GF Zendaya and their Spider-Man co-star Jacob Batalon for some moral support.

“At our first rehearsal, I had asked Jacob and Zendaya to come with me to just kind of be there as like, my support system. Like, ‘I’m gonna go meet these guys, I’m really nervous about it.'”


“‘We have to read the scene, and I don’t know how this is gonna go because we’re all playing the same character, and we all have to bring our own heart and soul into this, and it means a lot to them, and it means a lot to me.’ So Jacob and Zendaya were there on that first day.”

Awww! We don’t know what’s cuter, that Tom was nervous about meeting Andrew and Tobey or that Zendaya and Jacob were the only ones who could calm his nerves.

Since then, Tom and Zendaya’s relationship has only gotten stronger, with the pair just purchasing their first home together. They have picked up the keys for the £3 million or €3.5 million property that they will call home.

The six-bedroom space is located in Richmond, South West London, close to where Tom grew up. They are planning a big renovation on the house, adding a cinema, gym, and a man cave, said to cost around £250,000 or about €299,000.

A source close to the couple told The Sun how excited the pair are to be taking this big step. Saying, “They are very much in love and wanted their first home to be in London where Tom grew up. Everyone is thrilled for them.”
