Veganuary: The Best Vegan Treats That Have Landed In Stores This Month
More and more people are now opting for a plant-based lifestyle than ever before.
If you’ve done a food shop in the past two weeks (which I’m sure you have, it’s one of the few weekly joys), then I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of posters (and new products) for Veganuary.
Veganuary, which combines the words vegan and January mashed together (clever, we know), is an initiative set up to educate and encourage people to try a vegan lifestyle for the first month of the year.
Opting for a plant-based lifestyle is a far cry from the olden days when a measly salad was offered as the only option for those who wouldn’t eat meat. But quelle surprise, vegans are just as hungry as those who eat meat and equally need a wide and varied range of foods too.
Thankfully, however, with so much on offer now and big brands constantly dishing out new incredible products and snacks, it has never been so easy to try it out.
So, what are we loving this month? Here are some tasty products worth spoiling yourself with.
Denny Meat Free Sausages
Think the same delicious taste and look that you get with an OG Denny sausage but without the meat. These are delicious, plant-based and handy for the gal on the go, looking for a quick fix or alternatively, in your weekend fry.
M&S Vegan Cookies
Right, so we all know the sitch with how nice M&S cookies are. The smell hits you the minute you enter the door and then somehow, you’ve got a five bag of cookies in your hand at the checkout. I know, it’s bizarre.
Now, M&S is dishing out a vegan cookie so we can all enjoy the deliciousness in harmony.
Subway Vegan Double Chocolate Chip Cookie
At Christmas, Subway joined the chocolate orange brigade giving us an insanely moreish cookie. So, following that, they’re giving us a Vegan one too. The game has certainly been upped.
Meet the Vegan Double Choc Cookie.
Wicked Kitchen BBQ Fib Rack
A nice weekend treat, Texas-inspired plant-based pea protein ribs with sticky BBQ glaze. A new offering to Tesco’s Wicked Kitchen plant-based range.
Rudd’s Plant-Based Pudding
Birr based Irish company Rudd’s has decided to bless us with a deadly range of plant-based products this January including pudding and sausages. The pudding comes in both black and white, blended with their traditional seasoning to give it the same great taste.

Breyers Vegan Ice Cream
Breyers has upped its vegan offerings to include two new flavours – chocolate chip and mint chocolate chip. Perfect for popping in a bowl with berries, or simply enjoying on it’s own.
Actually, we think it’s best that you give us a spoon and leave the tub.
Ombar Centres Coconut and Vanilla
Raw, organic, gluten-free and vegan, we love Ombar’s range of chocolate bars, but its coconut and vanilla bar is most definitely our top pick for 2021.
Thinking about joining Veganuary, here are some easy ways to opt for a vegan lifestyle this month.
