Get in loser, we’re going to the movies!

That’s right, there’s a brand new Mean Girls adaptation hitting the cinema – but this time it’s a musical. Wild!

The Mean Girls Musical Movie is due to hit our screens in January – and we finally have a trailer so we can get a sneak peak into the re-vamped Mean Girls universe.

All of our faves are back in action, including Cady and The Plastics, and Damian and Janis. Eeek!

However, it looks as though our screens won’t be graced by any of the original cast; well, with two exceptions!

Tina Fey will reprise her role as Ms. Norbury, and Tim Meadows will return as Principal Duvall.  E! news reports that Tina Fey joked that their characters “couldn’t age out, teachers work forever.” Gas!

Instead, there’s a new set of familiar faces to take on the iconic roles. You’ll most likely recognise Spiderman’s Angourie Rice as Cady Heron, and Sex Lives Of College Girl’s star Renée Rapp as Regina George.

We’ll also get to see Jon Hamm play the hilarious, dopey coach, Busy Philipps appearing as Regina’s ‘cool mom’, and The Summer I Turned Pretty’s Christopher Briney as none other than heartthrob Aaron Samuels.

While we have another few months to wait for the film, we seriously cannot wait to see what it’ll be like.

You go, Mean Girls Musical Movie!
