We Tried This Luxury Travel Experience, And Flying Will Never Be The Same Again

STELLAR PROMOTION: We jetted to Las Vegas in style thanks to United

As a team who love to explore the world, we’re always on the lookout for ways to make long-haul flights more enjoyable.

For STELLAR’s recent trip to Las Vegas for the reality TV event of the year, BravoCon, I had the pleasure of experiencing United’s Polaris business class service, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer for anyone who dreads those transatlantic flights.

United, a major player in the transatlantic market, has upped its game with the Polaris service, and the upgrades are nothing short of impressive.

A recent survey revealed that a whopping 83% of international travellers prioritise catching up on sleep during flights, and United Polaris delivers on that front in style.

One of the standout features is the revamped sleep experience, in collaboration with the iconic Saks Fifth Avenue. Picture this: two pillows per person, including a large pillow and an extra-cool gel pillow, a super comfy duvet, and a limited edition day blanket created by fashion designer Claude Kameni, made from 100% recycled plastic.

And yes, the seats are fully reclinable, allowing you to lie flat and get that much-needed rest.

For the skincare aficionados among us, United Polaris presents the TheraBody flight essentials kit, a curated collection of pampering delights. From the TheraFace eye serum to a soothing face spray and a decadent hand cream, each product is a little bit of inflight indulgence.

And fear not, the kit also includes the travel essentials – a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, eye mask, earplugs, socks, and a pen.

The dining experience has also received a stunning upgrade, with Whispering Angel, a favourite among STELLAR readers, now served on board.

United has expanded its menu with over 20 new wine, beer, and liquor brands, including award-winning names like Groth, Caymus Mer Soleil, and Tito’s, with more to come later this year.

But the perks don’t end there—your United Polaris ticket grants you access to the ultra-chic Polaris Lounges located throughout the US. During my journey to Las Vegas via Washington Dulles Airport, I had the luxury of relaxing for two hours between flights.

The lounge offers not only a full bar and buffet but also spa-like facilities where you can shower and freshen up.

For the second leg of our journey, Washington Dulles to Las Vegas, we sampled another upgraded travel experience from United, United First. Another recently upgraded experience, these seats are packed with extras! We relaxed in our seriously comfy (and extra-wide!) seats featuring three types of charging outlets, vegan leather upholstery, larger seatback screens and tray tables, Bluetooth connectivity, privacy screens, Italian quartzite cocktail tables, and an ergonomist-designed cushion.

Now that’s travelling in style!

Say goodbye to uncomfortable transatlantic flights, and hello to a new era of travel sophistication with United Polaris and United First!
