What We Know About Addison Rae’s Upcoming Album

Addison Rae first began her career in the public eye on TikTok back in 2020. Now she’s about to release her first album, and it’s the most eagerly anticipated pop release of the year.

Addison was part of the infamous ‘Hype House’ where celebrities such as Charli D’Amelio and Nessa Barrett grew their millions of followers.

After taking a step back from TikTok, we saw Addison in the most peculiar of places such as regularly at Kourtney Kardashian’s house who she became great friends with, in Netflix comedy movie He’s All That, and most recently creeping her way onto the music charts.

Since the release of her first single ‘Obsessed’ back in 2021, Addison has been slowly climbing up the music industry ladder. In 2023 we were graced with her first ever EP AR which contained five different tracks, including ‘Obsessed’.

Many people were surprised to see that one of Addison’s features on the EP, on her song ’2 die 4’, featured global pop sensation Charli xcx. From the release of AR onwards the public began to notice many of Addison’s surprising friendships with other’s in the industry such as Troye Sivan, The Kid LAROI and many more.

2024 was the year fans saw Addison fully submerge into the pop world. In March of 2024 Rae featured on one of Charli xcx’s most popular songs from BRAT, ‘Von dutch a.g. cook remix’. The song went viral on all social media platforms, especially the part where Addison does her iconic scream.

Soon after Addison released ‘Diet Pepsi’ which gained her a whole new audience. The song also went viral on TikTok with many people and famous influencers and celebrities using the sound. The song gave Addison a whole new unique and sexy sound. Alongside her new friendships and style, Rae experienced a whole rebrand.

A few months after ‘Diet Pepsi’s’ release, Addison released another single, ‘Aquamarine’, which had a similar effect on her fans. Soon after, Arca, Venezuelan musician and record producer, featured on a new version of ‘Aquamarine’.

Over the months we’ve seen Addison make appearances at many of her friends and co-workers concerts such as Charli and Troye’s Sweat tour, Charli’s BRAT show and most recently on Arca’s Coachella set. During the set Addison was wearing a sheer pink robe – at one point she tightened it and turned around so we could see what she was wearing underneath, pink underwear that read “June 6^th” in block white letters.

Many fans have speculated that this was a hint that Rae will be releasing her debut studio album on this date, especially as she released a new single in February of this year, ‘High Fashion’, and has since released ‘Headphones On’.

We can’t wait to see what Addison has in store for us over the next few months and to hear what we all know will be some of her best work yet!
