Her boyfriend is a brave man

Jade Thirlwall’s Louis Theroux Podcast episode has just dropped – and it’s a good listen.
The former Little Mix star, who has been releasing banger after banger these past few months, appears on the latest episode of Theroux’s show, to talk all things fame, music, and heartache (of the Harry Style variety).
The pod is well worth a listen but if you simply don’t have the time, never fear.
Because we’ve summarised everything we learned from the interview – enjoy.
Jade sought therapy after Jesy Nelson split
Little Mix became Littler Mix back in 2020 when Jesy Nelson announced that she was leaving the band.
Jade, Perrie, and Leigh-Anne continued as a trio for a year before deciding to go on hiatus – a period which Jade has since described as “stressful.”
“I just remember it was so hazy because all of us, all four of us I think, were traumatised by that whole experience,” she told Louis.
“We had a lot of group therapy. I had a lot of personal therapy and because the contact was so abruptly cut off, it was very hard to deal with and quite traumatic.”

There is “no hate” from Jade towards Jesy
Jade said that although the time was difficult, she doesn’t begrudge Jesy’s decision to leave the band, and understands why her former band mate had to do it.
“If she needed to do that for herself, no matter what happened behind-the-scenes, or you know, anything that unfolded, I’ll never discredit or invalidate the struggles that she had in the group,” Jade said.
“Particularly at the beginning, she really did suffer the most in terms of like trolling, the press being really mean. And it really did some lasting damage.”
Jade was ghosted by Harry Styles
Yes, really.
Apparently when the pair were teenagers and fresh off their X Factor days, they went on a date… and Harry never texted her back.
“We just got put in the band. And it was really funny, because we kept in touch,” she said. “And then the minute they (One Direction) went on live shows, he didn’t message me back and I thought ‘That’s it now, he’s gone, he’s made it’.”
Jade went on to say that Harry later apologised for not responding. “I saw him in a room after, and he was, like, ‘I’m really sorry that I ignored you’,” she said.
“I was so young, it didn’t really matter. But he was always very, very lovely.”

Jade’s boyfriend confronted Liam Gallagher
Back in 2021, Little Mix took home the BRIT Award for Best British Group – the first time in history a girl band won the award.
Noel Gallagher responded by saying that the group were “not even in the same f**king sport” as Oasis.
Jade later responded on Never Mind The Buzzcocks saying: “Shame really. Because you know, we are definitely the most successful girl group in the country, but he’s not even the most successful performer in his family.”
Ouch.
On the podcast, Jade said that her boyfriend Jordan later saw Noel at a festival and approached him saying: “You are really rude about my girlfriend. Do you want to apologise?”
“He went, ‘F**k off!’” said Jade, “And I thought, do you know what? Fair play.”
“We’re very different bands, so I’ll give him that respect,” she continued. “We’re a pop girl band. Yeah. I don’t know why he was comparing us, actually.”
Brave man.
