Reese Witherspoon Just Confirmed Legally Blonde 3 Is Actually Happening

Reese Witherspoon has just confirmed that Legally Blonde 3 is finally happening.

Earlier this week, Deadline reported that MGM was close to a deal with Reese Witherspoon to reprise her Elle Woods character for a third instalment of Legally Blonde.

Nothing was confirmed until today, when the actress posted on Instagram recreating the iconic scene from Elle’s Harvard application video:

Two years ago, Reese dug out the costumes she’d kept from Legally Blonde and modelled them for her Instagram followers to mark the film’s 15th anniversary.

She then posted a photo of herself in the same pink bikini with an iconic quote from the movie:

And just last month, she posted a funny meme about the movie, showing her true love for Elle:

The third film is expected to be created with Reese’s production company Hello Sunshine, who are responsible for Gone Girl and Big Little Lies.

Reese was recently on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where she was asked about doing a third Legally Blonde film. “Yeah, yeah I would! I think it’d be kind of cool to see her 15 years later, like what’s she doing now? What do you think? I don’t know. But I need a good idea.”

There’s no news yet as to what the plot will be or who will be starring along side her. Plenty of time to perfect our bend and snap then!
