Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field have announced they will be leaving The X Factor after just one season on the judging panel.
The former Take That star and his actress wife joined Simon Cowell and Louis Tomlinson on the panel of the UK talent show last year, but have announced that due to other work commitments they have had to give up their roles.
Robbie took to Instagram to give an ‘update from Team Williams’, detailing plans the couple had for the coming year – meaning their overlapping schedules called for a change.
“Sadly though it’s impossible to do everything … and we’re gutted to tell you we won’t be able to return to The X Factor this year,” he revealed.
“We will, however, be working on projects with Simon going forward – and as huge fans of the show, we will still be tuning into The X Factor, voting and winding Simon up…”
No news yet on who will be replacing the pair, or even if the show will be back this year in it’s original format… But we’re sure to be glued to our tellys come August anyway!
Someone give Cheryl a buzz there…
