Meet Ireland’s Carrie Underwood: Country Music Singer Megan O’Neill
Megan O'Neill's been featured in Nashville and played at a party for JJ Abrams – we're predicting BIG things.
Everyone say hi – this is Megan O’Neill, the Kildare-born, London-based, Nashville-trained country music singer who’s recorded an EP with Kodaline’s producer and is managed by the same company that handles Heathers. (Not credentials to be sniffed at.)
Having spent two years in Nashville – the home of country music and our #1 favourite telly show starring Hayden Panettiere and, oh yeah, Connie Britton – Megan’s built up a good black book of industry contacts, which may have something to do with her nabbing a spot at JJ Abrams’ Oscars party in LA in February; playing at the Country 2 Country Festival at the O2 in London; and nabbing a musical moment in the aforementioned Nashville, with her song, Don’t You.
She’s also been busy bombing it around our locale, Stoneybatter, for the video to her new release, I Wish I Could Love You More, which we have playing on repeat in the office. We dare you to give it a listen and not start singing along by chorus #2!
