Dr Martens Is Launching A Boot Repair Service Next Month

Dr Martens are classic footwear.
Stylish, durable, and bound to be spotted among the feet of Very Cool Gals all across the country, the iconic boot, shoe, and sandal are the go-to for anybody looking for a piece that’ll stand the test of time.
And now, the brand are launching their first ever repair service – incredible scenes.
Reuters reports that CEO Kenny Wilson announced the move this week in a bid to move the company in a more sustainable direction, and give customers more options when their products eventually need fixing.

“Could it potentially lose us some business short term? Yes, but we think about it long-term, therefore we think it will breed customer loyalty, and it’s the right thing to do,” he said.
“I get letters from people every week saying can I get my DMs repaired.”
The pilot is being launched in Leeds next month (October) and will allow Docs owners to avail of total heel replacement services, which will cost about ยฃ81 (โฌ94), as well as many other smaller repairs.
Dr Martens has partnered with The Boot Repair Company in the UK to launch the service, and is hoping to expand to wider Europe in time.
The brand recently launched their own secondhand store on Depop to encourage the reselling of pre-loved items.
Let’s just hope you don’t have to break them in again after getting them fixed.
