Everything We Know About Kaia Gerber & Austin Butler’s Split

Another day, another much adored celeb couple reportedly calling it quits.

This time it’s Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler, who have seemingly called time on their relationship after three years together.

According to multiple outlets including TMZ and MailOnline, the pair split up before the end of last year.

Speculation around their relationship status began when model Kaia was spotted holidaying in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico with her parents, Cindy Crawford and Randy Gerber, without Austin.

Kaia’s brother Presley brought a friend on the trip, while the Elvis star was noticeably absent.

Kaia and Austin began dating in 2021 and attended the Met Gala together the following year. In 2023, Butler helped Gerber move into her new home, leading to speculation that the pair were moving in together.

Soon came engagement rumours, and although a source close to the couple confirmed that there were no plans for a wedding, the pair remained happy together until the end of last year.

Kaia and Austin kept their three year relationship largely private, attending some major events together like Butler’s Elvis press tour and premieres, as well as the Vanity Fair Oscars party and the Dune: Part 2 premiere, which stars Butler.

In 2024, Kaia told WSJ Magazine: “Honestly, I feel like so few things in my life are private, and that is one of the things that I try to keep as sacred as possible.”

Butler simply answered, “I’m happy” when asked by Esquire about his relationship in that same year.

Model and actress Kaia has previously dated Saltburn star Jacob Elordi, while Butler had a lengthy relationship with Vanessa Hudgens.
