Nicola Coughlan Shares New Role In Exciting Project

Nicola Coughlan is just going from strength to strength.
From her start in Derry Girls, to be cast as fan favourite in Bridgerton, to joining the star-studded line-up in the Barbie movie, Nicola has had a busy few years.
Now it’s been revealed that she will be leading a brand new series.
The Channel 4 series is currently called Big Mood and is set to begin production in the coming months.
Nicola will star alongside It’s a Sin star Lydia West in the upcoming show which was previously named Super Close.
Variety reports that the series “is a vivacious and rebellious portrayal of female friendship when infiltrated by the complexities of a serious mental illness.”
The series follows the friendship of Maggie played by Nicola and Eddie player by Lydia who spent their twenties living a very codependent lifestyle.
However, as they face forward into their thirties, Maggie’s bipolar disorder makes an unwelcome return. Suddenly Eddie finds herself questioning their friendship and whether it will survive the future.

The show was written and created by Camilla Whitehill, who is close friends with Nicola.
Sharing the news on social media, Nicola wrote: “Not every day you get to make a dream show with one of your best friends in the world and the perfect cast and an amazing director and I feel so lucky
“I love you @camillavalerie, I’ve loved you since Indie Sleaze I can’t believe we get to do this.”
