Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Welcome Baby Girl

This is very exciting

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have welcomed a baby girl.

Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on Friday morning in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

The name Lilibet is said to come from a nickname of the Queen (Harry’s grandmother). The baby’s middle name is Diana after Harry’s late mother.

In a message on their Archwell website the couple said, “She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe.

“Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”

This is the second child for Harry and Meghan who are parents to 2-year-old Archie.

The pair announced their happy news on Valentine’s Day this year by posting a stunning black and white image on their Instagram account. This news comes after Meghan shared her own trauma of miscarriage in July, speaking about grief in a deeply personal essay with The New York Times.

Earlier in the year many eagle-eyed fans noticed that Meghan was wearing a new piece of  jewellery, a stunning pink sapphire on her right hand. This had many wondering if it’s her hinting that this time they are expecting a baby girl, now we know she did have a girl so it could have been true!

Congratulations to the happy couple.
