Tom Hanks Is Coming To Dublin
How exciting?!
This is not a drill people!
Tom Hanks is set to land in Dublin next month after he was added to the annual Dalkey Book Festival line-up.
That’s right, the two-time Oscar winner is coming to Ireland to chat all about his debut novel The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece.
The novel, which spans several decades, is about “the making of a star-studded, multimillion-dollar superhero action film and the humble comic books that inspired it”.

Including talks of his novel, Tom will also delve into his wider path from picture to page.
The book is set for an early May release, while ticketholders can expect to receive their very own copy at the event.
In addition to Tom, it was also announced that U2 frontman Bono and physicist Brian Cox have been added to the line-up.
While Dylan Moran, John Banville, Sebastian Barry, Liz Nugent, Deirdre O’Kane and Roddy Doyle are among other names you can expect to see throughout the festival.

The festival – which is now in its 14th year will run from 15-18 June, with Tom making an appearance on the 16th.
Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, May 3rd at 10am from dalkeybookfestival.org.
