Mocha Mousse Makeup – 2025’s Biggest Glam Trend Unboxed

It's time for a mocha break

2024 was a big year for makeup trends.

There was ice princess glam, brat core, blonzing, sunburnt beauty… the list could go on, and does.

In this era of hyper trends and ever moving cycles, it seems as though there’s another must-wear, need-to-know item every day.

And while we could wax lyrical about the dangers of overconsumption and hype saturation, changing trends are here to stay… and the latest one you can create with the products already in your makeup bag. Probably.

Mocha Mousse makeup is set to be huge f0r 2025, and it’s the soft, quiet glamour we’ve been waiting for.

Pantone named Mocha Mousse as their colour of the year for this year, and if their influence in the past has been anything to go by, it looks like we’re set for a lot of browns across furniture, fashion, and of course, beauty.

The tone is described as “a warming, brown hue imbued with richness,” making it the ideal shade to kick off the year with.

So, how do you incorporate it into your makeup look?

Think browns, and think creamy. Rather than creating a statement look with your makeup, you’re aiming for subtlety – blurring, smudging, and balmy.

Coffee-inspired colours that compliment your facial features rather than masking them, nudes that blend in with the natural contours of your skin, and shades that can be effortlessly blended together.

Replace your blush with a creamy bronze to lift your cheeks. Blur brown liner on your lips to emphasise their shape. Use a stick eye shadow to add some colour to your look.

Opt for a deep brown eye liner instead of your usual black, and a coffee coloured mascara for your lashes. Luxurious? Yes. But simple too? Oh, definitely.

Chances are you’ve already got most of the above in your makeup bag, but if you’re looking for some new products to add to your collection, we’re loving these atm.
