Ah remember the days when loungewear was just for lounging in? When it was our go-to hangover uniform, our weekend cosies and our post-shower comfort?
Yeah, good times. Now, as we practically live in loungewear and dressing up is something many of us haven’t done since March, we’re prepping for our future new normal and looking forward to the return of some little pleasures, like outfit planning and seasonal dressing.
We can’t believe we’re saying this, but we’re actually excited to start wearing jeans again – yep, 2019 us would be shooketh!
So, if you’ve also started to think about what you’re going to wear when you can leave the house again, or you just need a little pick me up to help you get you excited for future events, then cast an eye towards these new upcoming fashion brands.
From electric prints to fabulous handbags, we’re in grá with upcoming labels and these ones are set to turn heads.
Kirin officially launched in 2019. And if the patterns look familiar to you that’s because they’re designed and created by DJ Peggy Gou who launched the line last year. Not only is Peggy a talented DJ from South Korea, she’s also gained a cult following for her incredible style. Much of which contains oversized bold shirts, snazzy sunglasses and incredible co-ords.
The womenswear collection is available to shop now and if we could just learn to DJ like Gou, wouldn’t we be flying?

Yuzefi is a London fashion accessories brand with an experimental approach to design. Launched by Naza Yousefi, the brand is all about finding newness in the familiar and the designs are both simplistic and divine. Featuring stand-out colours and edgy shapes, these bags are meant to be seen and we’re totally hooked.
The difficult part is actually picking our favourite one however, the Bom bag in shade scarlet is seriously catching our eye!
It’s safe to say AOIFE Ireland has seen astronomical growth in the past year. Created and headed by Limerick lady Aoife McNamara, Aoife used Instagram as help bring attention to her incredible designs and gain a fanbase that’s growing every day.
From her striking fabrics and incredible cuts – her eye for detail is something else and it’s no surprise that she’s now one of Ireland’s most sought-after upcoming designers.

Our favourite piece? It’s got to be the Drama Blouse.
Thebe Magugu made its debut at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. Owned and created by Thebe himself, the range is inspired by South Africa, and takes pride in being the place where Thebe grew up and where he wants to keep his business growing.
His aim is to bring his rich history to life through the garments in a contemporary way.
We absolutely adore the structure and shape of his SS20 collection – certainly investment pieces.
Our favourite? The Victoriana Shirt Dress.
Making its debut in summer 2018, Fuchsia Shaw is the definition of the fashion forward Insta girl. Founded and created by Amy Fuchsia, the London based brand features designs that are simple and well structured, giving you incredible wardrobe staples that you can mix and match with everything.
Contemporary pieces that will effortlessly transcend season to season, these grey trousers are currently number one on our list!
