These Were The Best Makeup Products Of 2018, According To Instagram

Some of our faves pop up. Delighted!

Trendmood is one of the top beauty accounts on Instagram, updating daily with talk of upcoming launches, swatch photos, and basically everything a beauty addict could want to know.

They recently asked their 1.2m followers to vote in a series of polls to decide on the best products and brands of 2018 – and considering these are some of the most beauty-obsessed people on the internet, we’d value their opinions.

Trendmood released the results earlier today, and they’re well worth a look over if you’re in the market for some new makeup bits.

Brand of the Year: Fenty Beauty

Launching at the tail end of 2017, Rihanna’s shade-inclusive brand ruled the roost last year. And with the addition of a concealer and new lipstick shades already this month, we’re excited to see what she does next.

Best Foundation: Too Faced Born This Way

Born This Way beat the classic that is Estée Lauder Double Wear, taking 69% of the votes – it gives good coverage while still looking like skin and not feeling terribly heavy.

Best Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape

Annoyingly, this raved-about concealer isn’t easily available in Ireland, though you can get it from QVC or the Tarte website if you want to guess your shade.

Best Product (And Lip Product): Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb

This lip gloss won not one but two polls – best lip product and best overall product. And by all accounts, it really is the perfect lip gloss. You did it, Rih.

Best Eyeshade Palette: Morphe x James Charles

While this palette had its share of controversy (the YouTuber was accused of posting ‘fake swatches’ and one customer complained it gave her hives), people sure loved it. It’s sold out everywhere, but you can add your name to the waitlist on Cult Beauty if it really speaks to you.

Best Drugstore/Pharmacy Brand: Wet n Wild

HUGE agree. Wet n Wild are cheap as chips and always at the forefront of beauty trends – check out their dupe for the ABH Modern Renaissance palette or their fantastic Megaglo highlighters if you haven’t already.
