Turmeric Is Set To Be The Big Beauty Ingredient For 2020

Time to add it to your skincare regime? Let's find out.

The big skincare craze of 2019 was hylauronic acid (thanks to Eva Longoria for teaching us all the pronunciation), but it seems the 2020 craze won’t be as scientific-esque. You’ve probably heard whispers of the benefits of turmeric, but it’s time to pull it out of your press and, well, get it on your face to spice up your life.

Turmeric is known for being one of the key ingredients in a pretty good curry, but it’s been used for literally thousands of years as a homemade remedy. So, we’re a little late to the party. There’s a whole lot of benefits to adding turmeric to your beauty routine. Being both anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, it has the ability to deal with an array of skin issues, from irritation and redness, to puffiness and dry skin. Basically, the list goes on and on, and on. It’s almost your one stop shop for achieving serious radiance and glow.

For those DIY fans, all you have to do a mix a bit of turmeric and honey, layer it on your skin to use as a mask for a complexion brightening treatment. Just pop it on for ten minutes a couple of times a week and you’ll be only glowing.
