Dominique Nugent Chats To STELLAR About Finding Love After Heartache, & The Importance Of Friendship

Dominique Nugent recently found her happily ever after.

If you’re anything like us, you’ll have been glued to her wedding content over the past few weeks – the venue, the honeymoon, and of course, the dress!

In the July/August issue of STELLAR Magazine, she chats about finding love after heartache, dealing with illness and how the support of her friends and family has got her through some seriously tough times.

“Your friends are so important in times like that, they’re there through everything, the makeups and breakups and everything in between so they know you so well,” she tells STELLAR. “Having somebody in your corner all the time… my sisters too, they were my biggest strength. I leaned a lot on my friends, everybody felt it for me. They all rallied around me and gave me a lot of support.”

Dominique appears on the current issue of STELLAR alongside her best friends Grace Mongey and Jen Carroll. The trio chat their decade-long friendship and how their bond has been one of the most important things in their lives to date.

In this latest issue, Dominique also chats to editor Megan about about being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease, and her decision to share her health journey online.

“Initially, with early symptoms and diagnosis, I didn’t know how to take it so I did keep it [offline] because I just didn’t know enough about it,” she says. “Then in February, I knew a bit more and felt sharing it would help some other people going through it. You get so much information from other people as well so it’s all about sharing the wisdom.”
