Try A ‘Co-Video Party’ Instead Of Going To The Pub
Still social, but still self-isolating.
If you were on Twitter last night you would have seen the #closethepubs hashtag trending. With videos and pictures of busy pubs being shared online, as many people were clearly ignoring the social distancing advice.
But if you are the type of person who feels a little stir-crazy staying home for more than 24 hours, Alison Spittle has come up with the ideal solution.
The Irish comedian launched a ‘co-video’ party this week and it’s been an instant hit.
Instead of heading out to your local pub, which we know is not ideal when we are trying to slow the spread of COVID-19, the movement promotes staying in. But you can still be social, as to join the party all you have to do is watch the same film, at the same time, and join the online discussion.
We’re watching Legally Blonde on netflixuk tonight at 9pm GMT.
Get snacks and get tweeting on #CovideoParty let’s watch it together alone. Gonna do an instalive after and we’ll have a big chat with comedian guestsβ¦ https://t.co/rOg1GHiykgβ Alison Spittle (@AlisonSpittle) March 14, 2020
Every day she has been posting a poll on Twitter, to decide that night’s film, yesterday was Legally Blonde and DJ Tara Stewart joined the too!
You could even do this amongst your own friends and get some FaceTime going at the same time.
