A 13 Going On 30 Reunion Has Occurred And It’s All Types Of Perfect
17 years later, this on screen duo have reunited once again.
Jenna Rink and Matty Flamhaff were on of those iconic on screen couples of the noughties. As most people know the story of 13 Going On 30, I’m sure this won’t spoil it for you.
The movie follows a 13-year-old girl who dreams of being popular. During her birthday party, she is humiliated by the cool kids and so, she bends down in her closet wishing she was a grown up and all of this was over. When she eventually does emerge, she finds herself suddenly 30 years old and uncertain how she got there. Feels, tbh.
But, what kind of path did she take? What kind of life has she lived and most importantly, is she happy?
The movie then centres around an older Jenna Rink (Jennifer Garner) and Matty Flamhaff (Mark Ruffalo) who try to rekindle the bond they discarded in high school.
From the scene where they’re having razzles on the swings, to the part where Jenna tries to revolutionise Poise magazine with Matty’s help to the heartbreak at the wedding scene, there’s so much in this video that makes it one of the greats and seeing our two faves together 17 years later is pretty adorable.
Sharing a selfie on Tuesday, the pair are working together again for a new flick called The Adam Project for Netflix.
“Wishing dust worked! And I got a perfect day with my old pal,” Garner said in the caption of her post.

In a similar vein, Mark captioned his:
“Reconnecting with an old pal. Anyone know where we can get Razzles in Canada?”
Lads, it’s all just too cute!
Aside from their new project which also stars Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer and Mark have also been working on plenty of their own projects. Mark has just come off his Emmy-winning role in I Know This Much Is True, and he’ll next suit up for the Hulk movies, while Jennifer is set to star in another Netflix movie, Yes Day, where she plays a parent alongside Edgar Ramirez.
Plenty of good stuff to come, it seems!
