The fairy tale love story of Millie Bobby Brown and fiancé Jake Bongiovi began in the summer of 2021.

It feels like we blinked and the Stranger Things star and 21-year-old son of famous musician Jon Bon Jovi were happily engaged, just three summers later.

It all happened so fast, and we have too many questions!

So, for those of you unfamiliar, who is Millie’s husband-to-be?

Jake Bongiovi has fame quite literally in his name! The American actor and model is the son of the iconic singer, songwriter, guitarist, and Bon Jovi frontman, Jon Bon Jovi AKA John Francis Bongiovi.

Jake may not yet have followed in his father’s footsteps regarding music, but he is expected to make his acting debut in an upcoming rom-com, Sweethearts.

He has also been cast in the forthcoming musical film Rockbottom – so maybe then we’ll see that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!

Millie and Jake were first romantically linked in the Summer of 2021.

In a November 2022 interview with Wired Autocomplete, Millie revealed, “We were friends for a bit. And then what can I say?”

Their relationship soft-launched with some blurry PDA pictures on Millie’s Instagram in November 2021. Following her exit from an unhealthy relationship, fans were delighted to see that the actress was able to move on whilst embodying a more powerful version of herself.

In a recent Interview with Glamour on October 16th, she explained how her ex boyfriend Hunter Ecimovic, would make her feel “powerless” and “publicly humiliated” at times. She said, “I think I was so afraid to be a strong woman in a relationship.”

Millie opened up about how meeting Bongiovi completely shifted her perspective on relationships and how she came to realise he was the one.

“When I met Jake, I just felt I could be loud. He embraced that and encouraged that. And I fell in love with myself while being with him.

“He was a really big, huge part of me loving myself and becoming a woman. It was like ‘Wow, I really love this person because he allows me to love myself.’”

On March 13th, 2022, the loved-up couple made their red carpet debut in London at the EE British Film Awards.

In June 2022, Millie hinted at how she was feeling in an Instagram post from a Harry Styles concert, writing “alexa play love of my life by harry styles”.

Honestly, we think Millie and Jake have set the bar for romance in 2023!
