A Very Popular Celebrity Hotel Is Planning To Open In Ireland

With the likes of Saweetie, Lizzo, J-Lo and Katy Perry often seen partying at the NYC hotspot.

You’ll often see uber-luxurious The Standard hotel in the backdrop of photos from The Met Gala afterparty, various fashion weeks, music videos, and just simply as the noted place to be celeb spotting. Now, the swanky hotel chain is set to open in Dublin.

Sure to attract plenty of famous faces and tourists alike when it plans to open in 2025, the hotel is being reported to have secured a location on Dublin’s northside near Connolly Station, opening its first Irish hotel there.

With locations in New York, London, Miami and soon to be, Ibiza, Brussels and Milan, The Standard is known for its gorgeous hotels in city centre locations that feature all the bells and whistles and hence, attract those looking for luxury.

The hotel is expected to have 200 bedrooms, bringing The Standard experience to Ireland.

Speaking to The Irish Times, Amber Asher, chief executive of Standard International, said:

“The city has emerged into an incredibly vibrant technology and commercial hub, with an enormous amount to offer from historical, cultural, musical and culinary points of view. We are excited to partner with Ballymore to develop a new home for Dublin’s creative community and a destination for locals and visitors alike.”

As for plans more more Irish locations once Dublin is up and running? Well, it’s not being ruled out, with Amber adding that the chain is always looking out for new opperuinites.
