Camila Mendes Pens Emotional Tribute To Riverdale On The Last Day Of Filming

It’s the end of an era!

We’re waving goodbye to Riverdale after seven seasons and we have to say we’re a little sad.

It appears we’re not the only ones!

Camila Mendes revealed she had wrapped filming on the CW show yesterday June 26th. The show is set to end in August following a seven season run.

The Riverdale star took to her Instagram sharing a carousel of BTS photos of the cast from the past seven seasons.

She captioned the post with some emotional words about her time on the CW show saying: “That’s a wrap on Veronica 💔. There’s no caption or photo dump that can illustrate what an emotional experience it’s been filming our last episode of Riverdale.”

She continued revealing: “I’m not just saying goodbye to a TV show, I’m saying goodbye to an entire life I created in vancouver, to a transformative period of time that shaped me as an adult, to a community of people who have seen the best and worst of me over the course of seven intense seasons.”

Talking about hard goodbyes the actress said: “It doesn’t matter how ready you are to move on, goodbyes are painful, and walking away from this show will be a process of mourning for all of us.”

Camila thanked her fans for all their support saying: “I have endless appreciation for you guys. Thank you for showing Veronica the love that she deserves.”

Finally, she concluded her post expressing her love and gratitude for her “hard-working crew and beautiful family of talented co-stars”.

“Thank you for all the precious time put into this show. Thank you for the core memories. I’m really going to miss the triumphs and defeats, the epic highs and lows, of making network television with you.”

She also revealed on her Instagram story that she had gotten a new tattoo to mark the occasion – a pearl, Veronica’s “signature gemstone” and Camila’s actual birthstone.

We can’t wait to see what the Riverdale guys and gals do next!
