Cardi B Could Face Up To Two Years In Prison Following Strip Club Attack
She was involved in an altercation at a strip club in New York in August.
In August last year, Cardi B was involved in an altercation at Angels Strip Club in New York.
The rapper was allegedly involved in an attack on two bartenders in the club. Reports say that Cardi instigated the attack on the female bartenders after she heard rumours one of them slept with her husband, Offset.
The attack allegedly involved bottles and chairs.
The 25-year-old turned herself in to the New York Police Department, and is now terrified of the possibility she will face jail time.
A source told HollywoodLife that Cardi is emotional at thoughts of being away from her baby, Kulture.
“Cardi is confident she’ll beat these charges and be proven innocent but it’s still really scary that jail could be on the table.
“The thought of that is really terrifying for her, especially because it would mean she’d be separated from her baby girl which would be heartbreaking. Cardi can’t stand to spend even one night away from Kulture so the idea of being behind bars, away from Kulture is enough to make her cry, it’s devastating.”
HollywoodLife states that the 25-year-old could be sued as well as face between 12 and 24 months in prison.
The Bodak Yellow rapper could avoid maximum punishment due to her clean record, however the bartender’s attorney is adamant she is punished for her actions.
“Reality is setting in, as justice does not care whether her name is Cardi B or Carly B, and she will now answer for her crimes,” said Joe Tacopina.
The court case is scheduled for October 29th.
The altercation comes as an addition to the fight Cardi had with Nicki Minaj at New York Fashion Week in September.
