Una Healy has shared that she’s open to representing Ireland in the next Eurovision song contest.

Saying that she would never say never, the songstress opened up on the Fascinated podcast with Gearoid Farrelly, sharing her thoughts on entering the singing contest.

“I don’t know. Maybe, actually. Yeah, I wouldn’t say never”

“It would all depend on the song. You would have to get real amazing banger of a song or a huge, amazing ballad.”

Sharing her conditions, she added: “It would have to be unbelievable. I wouldn’t do it unless I had the right song”.

If Una did go ahead with her 2022 entry, it wouldn’t be the first time she took to the Eurovision stage. The Tipperary native performed as a backing singer for Brian Kennedy’s ‘Every Song Is A Cry For Love’ in Athens way back in 2006.

A seasoned pro at the competition, Una continued by saying:

“If I write a song that I feel is for the Eurovision then maybe I would do that but my music at the minute I don’t feel is very Eurovision-esque really.”

Unfortunately, Una has missed her slot to take part in this year’s competition, as it’s set to take place in Rotterdam. Ireland’s entry Lesley Roy is set to perform in the semi-finals this evening, Tuesday the 18th.
