Drake Used His New Album To Tell Everyone That He Actually Does Have A Son

He really is a champagne Papi.

After a whole lot of speculation, Drake has dropped a new album in which he has confirmed that he’s fathered a child. Ooooh.

It all came to a head last month when rapper Pusha T released a song accusing Drake of hiding a ‘secret child’ called Adonis, calling him a ‘deadbeat mothaf*cka’.

Pusha claimed that the baby’s mother was former adult film star Sophie Brussaux:

You are hiding a child, let that boy come home. Deadbeat mothaf*cka, playin’ border patrol… Adonis is your son. And he deserves more than an Adidas press run… Love that baby, respect that girl. Forget she’s a porn star, let her be your world

TMZ reported that Drake was first spotted with Sophie in Amsterdam in January 2017 (he was linked to Jennifer Lopez at the time, bold boy).

According to her Instagram, she gave birth to a boy called Adonis in October – meaning the child was probably conceived around the time of that first sighting.

While Drake didn’t confirm or deny anything at the time, his new album Scorpion reveals all. In the song Emotionless, he says that he is indeed now a father, but he’s only met Sophie twice:

I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world/ I was hiding the world from my kid

I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe/ That sh*t is in stone, sealed and signed/ he’s not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine/ Sh*t, we only met two times

Drake also talks about what it’s like to be a father when your child lives in a different country, and how he was embarrassed to tell his parents (who divorced when he was 5) about the situation, given that he always swore he’d give his child a ‘family unit’.

The admissions are unsurprisingly the talk of Twitter:
