Keelin Moncrieff has had a busy year.

Between hosting events, creating content, and raising her daughter, she’s had a lot on. Over the summer she hosted a trip to Croatia, a move into the travel sphere that she credits with our need to feel more connected.

“This has been a great opportunity to bring online relationships into in person connection,” she says. “With the rise of social media, it has given a false sense of connection and intimacy with people, but we are all collectively still suffering from loneliness and lack of community.

“With a platform, I take the responsibility very seriously and like to make the best use of it I can. People that follow me would most likely have similar interests and views of the world, so bringing them together in a welcoming environment can breed beautiful friendships and connections.”

Keelin is one of many ambassadors for this year’s Culture Night. She says she’s excited for “the celebration of different talent the people in Ireland have to offer, that you might not get to experience on a normal night.”

So, you’re throwing your dream dinner party. Who would be your ideal guests be?

My ideal dinner guests would be Julia Fox, Miley Cyrus and Meghan Markle.

Would you have a theme or a dress code?

Everyone’s welcome to wear whatever they want.

What are you cooking? Is it a lavish affair or low-key nibbles?

To start I’d have a charcuterie & cheese board with dips and fancy crackers etc. Main course would be a roast dinner because I think the Americans would eat this up.

Time to get ready! What are you wearing?

Roberto Cavalli dress, MIISTA leather heels & a bag from miu miu.

Everyone’s arriving: what music are you playing to set the mood?

I’ve recently made a playlist called ‘autumn in the backseat of my mother’s car’ on spotify, I’d definitely have that on.

What are you and your guests chatting about at the table?

The power of women.

Do you have a signature cocktail to serve?

Spicy margarita.

What about dessert? Sweet or a cheese board?

Sweet for sure – pavlova with whipped cream & strawberries (Nigella Lawson’s recipe).

Is there entertainment?

Tarot card readings & the board game 30 seconds.

How does the night wrap up? Is it a late one, or more chill?

I’d imagine we all have DMCs in the garden until sunrise.

Culture Night takes place on Friday September 20. Find out more here.
