Eight Year Old Blue Ivy Has Been Nominated For A Grammy
She featured in her Mother's music video for her single Brown Skin Girl.
Being a daughter of an A-lister is always going to mean a very different upbringing to most people, but being nominated for a Grammy at the age of eight? That’s a new one.
Blue Ivy, daughter of Jay-Z and Beyonce, was revealed to be on the nomination list for the 2021 Grammys. The eight year old featured in her Mother’s music video for her single Brown Skin Girl.
The video has been nominated in the Best Music Video category and Blue Ivy features in it prominently throughout.
This will make Blue Ivy Carter one of the youngest nominees in the history of the awards. Initially she wasn’t acknowledged as featuring on the track, but this was updated late this week.
Blue has also narrated an audiobook for children this year, Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry.
Her list of achievements are already stacking up and she’s not even a decade old yet. We’re suddenly feeling very unaccomplished.
