Pamela Anderson is reclaiming the narrative of her life story in a new Netflix documentary titled Pamela Anderson, A Love Story.

The new documentary comes after the release of the series Pam & Tommy, which aired on Disney+ last February, and was watched by people all over the globe.

The series received mixed reviews from viewers, many felt that the show displayed a crude depiction of the couple’s love story, and it’s believed that the series never actually got permission or input from Pamela herself for the story.

The actress took to Instagram last March following the release of the series to share her disdain for its content.

In the statement shared with her 1.4 million Pamela shared:

“A thousand imperfections, a million misperceptions, wicked, wild & lost meaning to live up to I can only surprise you – not a victim, but a survivor. Alive to tell the real story.”

Pamela is now ready to share her own version of events in her Netflix documentary, which is set to release on January 31st.

The doc, which is directed by Emmy-nominated documentarian Ryan White, will share her rise to fame, alongside her rocky relationship history, and the infamous sex tape scandal.

Pamela was convinced by her sons Brandon and Dylan to reclaim her story and documents the star’s rise from small-town girl to international sex symbol.

“Brandon can talk me into anything with his sincere heart and a fierceness that only a son could have. He wanted to tell my story, authentically and without distortion,” Pamela told Vanity Fair.

 Pamela Anderson, A Love Story will feature personal videos and diary entries from the star herself, as Pamela recounts the story in her own words.
