EYNTK About Love Island’s Summer Return
Tonight......
It’s nearly that time again, water bottles at the ready, group chats revived, and evenings officially booked. Love Island is returning to our screens this June for its twelfth season, and if early reports are anything to go by, it’s shaping up to be one of the most chaotic seasons yet!
While ITV hasn’t confirmed an exact air date just yet, all signs point to a Monday, June 2nd launch, the same slot the summer series typically kicks off in.
And yes, beloved Maya Jama is back in the villa as our host, bringing her effortless glam and razor-sharp wit along for the ride. Of course, we can also count on Iain Stirling’s iconic voiceovers to deliver the perfect mix of sass and sarcasm.
@itvx To the hottie this may concern, We’re staying loyal to the entertainment and levelling up the twists to hit our KPI on drama. It’s time to crack on. Warmest wishes, Love Island HQ x #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK ♬ original sound – ITVX
So, what’s in store? While the producers are playing it coy (as always), we already have a few names entering the chat (and the villa).
One of the first rumoured contestants is 20-year-old makeup artist Lucy Quinn from Liverpool, who’s expected to enter as a bombshell. Described as fiery, glam and confident, she’s bound to shake things up.
She’ll reportedly be joined by Aaron Buckett, a 6ft 5in Londoner who’s likely to turn heads the second he walks through those famous sliding doors.

And in true Love Island fashion, there’s already chatter about a few familiar faces making a return. Jess White, who made waves in Season 11, has been dropping major hints on social media, most recently posting bikini snaps from Ibiza (just a short hop from the show’s Mallorca villa).
Could she be staging a surprise comeback? Fans think so. Meanwhile, Casey O’Gorman, known for his previous stint in the villa, has also fuelled speculation by interacting with the official trailer on Instagram.

If Maya Jama’s teaser is anything to go by, we’re in for “more drama, more bombshells, and more twists than ever before”, and frankly, that’s all we needed to hear. From messy love triangles to dramatic recouplings and, let’s be honest, some painfully awkward challenges, Love Island remains the ultimate summer guilty pleasure.
Whether you’re in it for the love stories, the drama, or just some top-tier entertainment, the countdown is officially on!
Keep your eyes peeled for the full line-up drop in the coming weeks, but for now, dust off your sunhat and prep your Twitter reactions, Love Island Season 12 is nearly here, and we are so ready for it.
