Florence Pugh has opened up about her experience with social media as of late, more specifically, her experience with online hate and trolls.

The Little Women star previously come under fire for her relationship with Zach Braff, 45, due to the 21 year age gap. Her replies to online hate have come in many forms, from sarcastic comments to emotional videos. Now, she’s gotten even more candid about her experience in Sue Perkins’ An Hour Or So With podcast.

Florence said there had been times where people online had “made her feel like sh*t” about her relationship, and she questioned why it was anyone’s business – a fair question to be, well, fair.

“I’ve always found it funny, how I can be good enough for people to watch my work and support my work and pay for tickets and I’m old enough to be an adult and pay taxes but I’m not old enough to know who I should and should not have sex with,” she explained.

“Because I’m in the entertainment industry, those lines get very blurred. People just want to have a say on who you go out with, where you go for lunch. For me, I’ve always found that part of this life, even when I grew up watching actresses, I’ve always found that weird how people have a say over your private life.”

Florence continued, “I’m not a reality TV star, I don’t let people into my life like that so since when has it been OK for someone to shout at someone for their relationship?”

Her latest interview on the podcast came after Florence uploaded an IGTV video, explaining to her followers that she doesn’t need their opinions on her relationship. “I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love,” she said. “It is not your place and really it has nothing to do with you.”

You tell ’em, Flo. Check out the IGTV video below.
