Yesterday evening, Gal Gadot alongside a bunch of very recognisable celebrity friends released a video online covering John Lennon’s hit track ‘Imagine’.
Now, as you can Imagine, the video is receiving a lot of mixed reviews on Twitter with some people calling it “inspiring to see celebrities across the world singing in solidarity”, while others are calling it “cringe” and “off key”.
Nevertheless, the video is blowing up and it features 25 faces and voices from the movie, music and modelling industry.
Will Ferrell, Sia, Kirstin Wiig, Chris O’Dowd, Jamie Dornan, Sia, Jimmy Fallon, Ashley Benson, Sia and Amy Adams are just some of the stars stretching their vocals for the track which is nearly a solid three minutes long.
Gal opens the video by giving a little introduction so you’re not whacked by the singing and says:
“Hey guys. Day six in self-quarantine. And I’ve got to say that these past few days got me feeling a bit philosophical,” Gadot opens by saying. “You know, this virus has affected the entire world, everyone — doesn’t matter who you are, where you are from, we are all in this together.”
Listen out for parts where Chris O’Dowd and James Marsden smash the vocals, boys, we want solos NOW.
What do you think of the cover? Yay or nay?
