Game Of Thrones’ Kit Harington Has Checked Into Rehab To ‘Work On Personal Issues’

Page Six reports that he is seeking treatment for 'stress and alcohol use'.

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington has checked into a rehab facility in the US to ‘work on some personal issues’.

Page Six reports that the actor, who played Jon Snow on the show, arrived at a clinic in Connecticut a few weeks before the finale on May 19, seeking treatment for “stress and alcohol use”.

A source told the gossip website that the end of Game of Thrones “really hit Kit hard” and he needed to get some rest.

His rep confirmed the news in a statement:

Kit has decided to utilise this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.

In a recent interview with Esquire, Kit described his emotional reaction to filming his final scenes on Game of Thrones.

“The final day of shooting, I felt fine… I felt fine… Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit,” he said.

Then they called ‘Wrap!’ And I just… broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.

A documentary about the ending of the show, called The Last Watch, aired this past Sunday – and shows Kit in tears as he learns of Jon Snow’s fate.

Kit is married to his Game of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie, who is reportedly being “extremely supportive” as he gets the help he needs.
