Gemma Collins Has Responded To Claims She’s Quitting Dancing On Ice

Gemma and her skating partner are denying the reports about her.

People were sure Gemma Collins was going to quit Dancing on Ice after Holly Willoughby made some comments about her level of professionalism. However, now Gemma has come out to say that although the comments upset her, she’s no quitter.

Gemma addressed the reports on her Instagram stories this morning. She said: “Good morning everyone. So sorry for my eyes looking so heavy. Obviously I’ve been really devastated by all the hurtful press reports this week, which haven’t been true.

“But I’m not giving up, I’m not quitting. I’m here with the team. I’ve got the shakes where I’ve been so upset. Please don’t believe what’s been put out there. Do I want to quit? Yes but I’m not gonna. It’s really got me down this week but I hope you enjoy our routine this Sunday.”
Gemma also addressed the rumours that she told the DOI camera crew to stop filming her while on the ice.
“Did I tell you at any point to get your cameras off the ice?” she says to the crew on camera.
“No, we’re always here, always filming. Not us anyway,” they responded, while she continued to joke with them.

“The reason I haven’t been on social media before talking about this, me and Matt have been so upset. We were shell-shocked, we didn’t know what to do, we were heartbroken.”

Gemma’s skating partner, Matt Evers, denied the claims made about Gemma on Lorraine this morning. Regarding Phillip Schofield’s comments about Gemma napping and holding up the entire studio, Matt said “Gemma did not take a nap. We’re there first thing in the morning on Sunday. We do camera blocking, then a dress rehearsal…by the time the show starts at 6pm, you’re exhausted.”

He also addressed the fact that she left the live show early last Sunday. “We weren’t performing a competition number on Sunday… after the group number she thought she was free to go. She got a text from her car saying it had arrived, and she asked somebody if she could go and they said, ‘yeah, you’re done.’ She didn’t have a nap, I wish we could have a nap on Sundays!”

Well there you have it, GC will skate again!
