We are still unpacking the drama from the Don’t Worry Darling premiere at Venice Film Festival and we thought you’d appreciate a debrief of all of the major events in one place.

We have all been following the DWD alleged drama throughout their press coverage, and the lack thereof from some stars. The rumours about a feud between Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde over the work environment and Wilde’s relationship with Harry have been filling up our FYP.

And the SILENCE from Flo on her Instagram about the movie has been deafening, she has since posted about it, but barely.

Harry and Florence are not doing many interviews for the film, in which they both star as love interests and Shia LaBeouf just leaked a video of Olivia calling her leading lady “Miss Flo” and suggesting she has a “wake-up call” in store… It’s brutal out here.

With the media circus surrounding the movie and its cast, all eyes were set on the Venice red carpet to see if they’d disband the rumours of drama and prove (or at least pretend) that they are one big happy family…. They definitely didn’t do that anyways.

Here’s what you need to know:

Olivia referenced the ‘feud’ in a press conference:

When asked to “clear the air” during a press conference for the film before Florence Pugh arrived for the later premiere that night, Olivia responded,

“Florence is a force. We are so grateful she is able to make it tonight despite being in production… [Florence is currently filming Dune and Olivia noted how thankful she is that she took time off for her premiere.]

“As for the endless tabloid gossip and noise out there, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel I need to contribute to it.”

That wasn’t necessarily a denial, but it also was a clever dodge of the question.

Harry Styles has “no idea what [he’s] doing”:

In the same press conference, we had some notable quotes from Harry about acting, one that has gone viral is that he admits he isn’t exactly an expert at acting saying, “What I like about acting is I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing and it’s quite fun…”

We’re glad it’s fun Harry because you’re doing something right!

Harry, Florence and Olivia didn’t publicly interact:

The moment arrived and the cast stepped on to the premiere red carpet. They stood side by side to take a group picture, Chris Pine and Gemma Chan (strategically or coincidentally) stood in between Harry, Olivia and Florence meaning they were not directly next to each other. This was also the seating arrangement inside the theatre.

Florence was photographed greeting her co-stars minus Harry and Olivia, and Harry and Olivia did not take any couple pics.

Harry is accused of spitting(?!) on Chris Pine:

This is as Bizarre as it sounds…

There’s a video doing the rounds online of Harry arriving at his seat inside the theatre and supposedly spitting on Chris Pine before he sits down. There’s no evidence that he actually spat, but the sequence of events from Harry’s head position to Chris looking down very coincidentally, is a lot.

This is all alleged and could be completely fabricated, but it does add to the craziness surrounding the film.

Florence and Olivia applaud each other during standing ovation:

The film received a standing ovation from the crowd, and within this, there was a tiny interaction between Florence and Olivia. But it was still an interaction! As the crowd and cast are clapping Olivia turns toward Florence looking behind the other cast members and claps towards her. Florence catches her eye and applauds back, in what looks like a moment of appreciation.

Harry is standing in the middle of the pair looking back and forth throughout, which is pretty gas to watch.

Does this mean that all is well?

The stylists’ posts:

Florence’s stylist posted a snap of her premiere outfit, in which she looked fire, but it wasn’t the dress that caught fans eyes when the post went up… It was the caption which simply read, “Miss Flo”.

Of course, fans are assuming this is a reference to the leaked phonecall between Olivia and Shia LaBeouf. Oof.

But that’s not all, Olivia’s stylist seemed to have also weighed in, posting a picture to her story with the caption, “There’s always more to the story…”

Who knows if these two are directly correlating, but it is quite a coincidence.

Florence begins appreciation posts:

Florence has posted a sweet tribute to her grandmother on Instagram, whom she walked the red carpet with. But at the beginning of her heartfelt caption were the words, “To start off my appreciation posts, I’d like to begin here.”

This indicates that there will be a few, and we need to know if there will be one that mentions Harry and one that mentions Olivia?!

This could be her closing the DWD chapter and either putting rumours to rest or perhaps sparking more if there is a notable absence of her co-stars…

We are watching this space very closely, stay tuned.
