Here’s Why Everyone Thought Taylor And Tom Had Broken Up Yesterday

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston might not have had the best start to their blossoming romance back in June, but the fact is, they’re still going strong despite tonnes of negative press attention and a fair amount of hate from Taylor’s VERY recent ex Calvin Harris.

Yup, this pair seem to be in it for the long haul, with Tom telling an interviewer from The Hollywood Reporter recently that he and his famous GF were “very happy.” However even that positive statement didn’t stop fans speculating over the weekend that the pair had parted ways, after one eagle-eyed Instagram user noticed that Taylor was no longer following her man on the photo-sharing app.

According to a Perez Hilton report on Sunday morning, Tom’s name was no longer among the 85 accounts that Taylor followed, although he was still following her. Considering Tay had started following Tom almost immediately when he first set up his Instagram account at the beginning of August, the swift (geddit?) unfollow left many fans wondering what was up… although no-one seemed too upset by the possibility of a split:

Fast forward a few hours though, and it was revealed that a glitch in Instagram’s mobile app was to blame for the confusion, and not a break-up. When accessed from a smartphone, Tay’s “following” list doesn’t show Tom’s name, but when accessed from a desktop it does.
