Here’s Why You Always See Celeb Babies Wearing The Same Pink And Blue Woolly Hat
Those newborns have STYLE.
Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian wasted no time in sharing a picture of their baby girl Dream when she entered the world via C-section on November 10th.
So quick were they to share a first snap, in fact, that they posted to social media right from the maternity ward. The giveaway? Dream’s teeny-tiny striped woollen hat.
If you think the hat looks familiar, you’d be right, as it’s featured in many celebrities’ post-birth photos. The hat is a standard gift to newborns at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, where many LA-based stars head to give birth.
Here’s Ivanka Trump with her son Theodore earlier this year:
And here’s a snap of Jimmy Fallon’s daughter Winnie Rose:
Ashton Kutcher even played on the theme when his first daughter Wyatt Isabelle was born, posting eight snaps of different babies and animals to his website, and telling fans one of the snaps was a picture of Wyatt. Of course, social media soon picked out the four wearing woolly caps as the most likely candidates:
Kourtney Kardashian, Rachel Zoe, and Victoria Beckham are just a few of the others stars who have given birth at Cedars-Sinai, where a “deluxe maternity suite package” includes a personal doula and a three-room suite and will set you back around $3,795 (€3,500). Expectant and new mums can also sign up for an in-suite manicure, pedicure, or haircut before or after labour.
As well as the hats, you’ll also spot a blue-and-white striped nursing blanket in many celebrity baby photos, as featured in little Dream’s first portrait. The blanket is used to swaddle newborns in hospitals around the US, and manufacturer Medline estimated it has produced around 25 million of them since 1980.
Is it weird that we want one too?!
