Being a 90s baby, I of course worshipped the ground that Lindsay Lohan walked on as I grew up. From The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday to Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls, her films are still pretty much up there.

So you can imagine I was a little shook when I realised we had collectively been pronouncing her name wrong all these years?!

In a recent TikTok, Lindsay shared: “Hey everyone, it’s Lindsay Lohan, and guess what? Now I’m on TikTok,”

It’s brief, but the pronunciation of her surname is pretty clear that she’s saying ‘Lo-wen’ rather than ‘Lo-han’.

You could guess that the majority of the comments underneath the video were about exactly that. “Wait. Lindsey ‘LOWEN’?!? I’VE BEEN SAYING IT WRONG MY WHOLE LIFE?!?” one person wrote, while another commented “Lindsey Lowen?? You mean Lindsey LOW-HAN?”

But not only is Lindsay using her TikTok to correct the pronunciation of her name, but she’s also giving us the Parent Trap throwback that we didn’t know we needed.

The first time we saw her, the 1998 version of The Parent Trap had Lindsay playing Twins Halle and Annie and it is still one of the most iconic movies.

One of the famous lines from the film is trending on TikTok at the moment and Lindsay just had to join in. Posting a video with the caption “You heard it here first.”

Lindsay will be back on our screens this year starring in an upcoming Netflix Christmas movie which we can’t wait to see.

According to Logline, Lindsay will play “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress”, who gets amnesia in an accident, and “finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
